Alexandreio Technological Education Institute of Thessaloniki
Ôhe ATEI of Thessaloniki (www.teithe.gr) is situated about 15 kms away from the center of the city, near the village of Sindos and it expands in an area of about 1.7 square kms. It is a higher education institute and it is run and controlled by the ministry of Education. Ôhe ATEI consists ïf six schools divided themselves in 21 departments, three branches in Kilkis, Nea Moudania and Katerini as well as two programmes of selective studies. The number of students being enrolled runs up to 30.000 while about 400 teaching staff members are occupied on a full-time basis for the institute's needs. There is also a considerable number of instructors being employed on a part-time basis in order to meet the institute's rising needs along with 80 members of the technical personnel and 290 members of the institute's Administration.
